I’m Jodee Wallin, owner of Visual Creations Photography — I am a multi-published, award-winning studio photographer based in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Photography has taken me around the world, where I’ve had the honor of learning from some of the best photographers in the nation. I’ve dedicated countless hours to training and continuing my education, ensuring every client experience is rooted in excellence.
I specialize in newborn and maternity photography, but I also love capturing the magic of couples, events, seniors, and families — in other words, I do it all! As a mom of seven myself, I understand how priceless it is to invest in professional portraits that become lasting heirlooms.
I didn’t always plan on being a photographer!
I graduated from Viterbo University with dreams of working in law enforcement and becoming a district attorney. Even while pursuing that path, I couldn’t stay away from photography — I filled my schedule with every photography course I could find.
After my oldest daughter was born (my mom gifted me my first digital camera)that is where my passion for the art of photography truly began. (Don’t go searching for my old work though — trust me, it’s not very good! 😉)
After years of working behind the scenes in sports, commercial photography, photo editing, and even software engineering, I launched my own business in 2010 — and never looked back.
I love telling stories with my camera.

I married my high school sweetheart, Tim — we’ve been best friends since we were teenagers. Even though we both grew up as only children, somehow we ended up with seven amazing kids and a very full (and hectic!) house. Tim is a huge part of Visual Creations too — he’s my second shooter for weddings, my lighting assistant, and he often tags along for senior sessions, especially if there’s a sports theme involved. (He has a real eye for staging action shots.)
When we’re not behind the camera, we’re usually out exploring. We’re a hiking family at heart — the kind that finds extreme trails most people wouldn’t think to take their kids on. We also love boating and fishing whenever we get the chance. When we’re not adventuring outdoors, you can usually find us planning another trip to Disney — we’re proud Disney superfans and have made countless magical memories there over the years, with another trip already planned for this summer!
